Product

What it is and who it is for

What is IntentScoring?

An AI lead scoring tool for small business sales teams. It pulls businesses from Google Maps, scores them on buying signals read from listing data, review text, and the business's own website, and enriches them with verified contacts. The output is a ranked list, top-down by score.

What businesses is this for?

Solo founders, small business sales teams, B2B marketing agencies, and SMB-focused sales operations. Strongest fit so far: local-service businesses such as HVAC, plumbing, and roofing, plus B2B vertical SaaS, professional services agencies, government contractors, and home-services operators.

Does it send email for me?

No. There is no sequencer and no inbox tooling. Export to CSV or push to Airtable and send from whatever you already use.

How many leads does one query return?

Up to 20. That is Google's cap on a Text Search query, not ours. Volume comes from batch mode: give it a list of term and location pairs and it runs them in sequence, deduping across the whole run.

Does IntentScoring integrate with my CRM?

Not directly yet. CSV export works with any CRM and Airtable push is built in. Direct CRM integrations are on the roadmap and are not shipped, so do not buy on that basis.

Scoring

How a lead gets its number

How does the scoring work?

Each profile carries a signal stack. A-tier signals define the fit and count 3 each. B-tier signals are supporting evidence and count 1 each. The model marks every signal hit, miss, or unknown, and has to quote the text it used. Hits add into a funnel score: 9 or more is HOT, 6 to 8 is WARM, 3 to 5 is COLD, and anything under your bar is dropped with the reason attached.

What are anti-signals?

Hard disqualifiers written from your own ICP. A prospect already running CallRail, for example, is not a candidate for call-handling software. One clear anti-signal hit zeroes the score rather than shading it down.

What does unknown mean?

That the signal could not be checked from a public source on this lead. Unknown is not a miss. It contributes nothing in either direction, which keeps missing data from looking like negative data.

Can I change the bar?

Yes. You set the minimum A-tier hits and the minimum funnel score. One thing to know: at the default 2-hit A-tier bar, a COLD lead is mathematically always below the bar. Drop the A-tier bar to 1 if you want to work COLD leads.

What if I disagree with a score?

Open the lead and read the signal verdicts. Every hit and miss shows the quote behind it, so a bad score points at either a signal that needs rewording or an ICP that needs tightening.

Data and sources

Where the evidence comes from

What data sources does IntentScoring use?

Google Places API for sourcing and review text, the prospect's own public website for positioning and vendor signals, Hunter.io for verified contacts, and Anthropic Claude for the analysis. All inputs are publicly available. No private data, no purchased contact database.

Which signals are not built yet?

Hiring signals from job boards, owner social activity, trade-directory membership, and ownership-change records. They appear in the tool behind an explicit Coming soon state and read unknown. They are not silently scored.

How fresh is the data?

Google listing data and review text are pulled live on each run. The website is fetched at pull time. Hunter verifies against their own database.

Do I need my own API keys?

Today, yes, and that includes scoring. You supply a Google Places key, an Anthropic key for the scoring model, and a Hunter key if you want email enrichment. All three are billed to you by those vendors, on top of your plan. Hosted keys are an open decision, not a shipped feature.

Where are my keys stored?

In your browser's local storage. There is no account layer yet, so keys do not sync across devices and clearing site data wipes them. Lock your Google key to an HTTP referrer before you paste it anywhere.

Billing

Plans, limits, and cancelling

What counts as a scored lead?

One business pulled from Google Maps and run through the signal stack. Leads dropped by your hard filters before scoring do not count. Neither do duplicates inside the same batch.

What happens if I hit the limit?

Pulls pause and the app tells you where it stopped. Nothing is charged automatically. Upgrading mid-cycle is prorated.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 14 days with full Solo access, no credit card required to start.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. No contract, no minimum commitment, no cancellation fee. Plans switch up or down any time.

Who pays Google and Hunter?

You do, directly, because the keys are yours. Google Places Text Search is billed per query on your own account. Hunter's free tier covers 25 searches a month, which goes fast.

Company

Who is behind this

Who built this?

Ryan Roderick, founder of Valor Hart LLC, a veteran-owned company in Huntsville, Alabama. Valor Hart runs four small businesses across services, govcon, and SMB operations. The scoring model was built to qualify leads for those businesses first.

Why are there no customer testimonials?

Because there are no customers yet. IntentScoring is pre-launch. Fabricated logos and invented quotes would be the fastest way to lose the only advantage a small operator has.

What happens to my data if the company goes away?

Your keys are already in your browser and your leads export to CSV on demand. There is nothing you would need us to hand back.

Still have a question?

Email hello@intentscoring.app. Ryan answers it. Solo plan response target is two business days, usually much faster pre-launch.
